  • 40 years of coaching high school hockey in Minnesota.

  • Earned BA degree in Physical Education & Health and earned a MA degree in Experiential Education.
  • Has been involved in hockey education for 34 years with USA Hockey as a Coaching Education Instructor and has been on the Minnesota Hockey Coach & Player Development staff for 31 years. 
  • Dick has been a Select coach for USA Hockey and Minnesota Hockey with the Select, 15, 16 and 17 teams
  • Assistant Coach on the 1990 USA Hockey Select 17 National Team. 
  • Head coach with Mike MacMillian for the Minnkota Select 16 team that won the USA Festival Championships (1997 & 1998) 
  • One of two coaches selected from USA Hockey to go to the Czech Republic and coach in the International Ice Hockey Federation Select 15 camp (1999)
  • Head coach for the District 6 Select 15 team that won the Minnesota Festival Championship (2007 & 2010)
